On April 2nd, Rachel’s Kids invites our community to light it up blue for autism awareness month! “Let Your Blue Shine Through” is a Rachel’s Kids initiative that is near and dear to our hearts. With April being autism awareness month, we’re excited to take this opportunity to launch our campaign to help educate our community. To help bring awareness to autism, Rachel’s Kids has made sensory kits for local schools to present to help educate all students about what it is like to have a sensory processing disorder. Rachel’s Kids is ready to paint the town blue. In “light” of this initiative, Rachel’s Kids will have “Let Your Blue Shine Through” t-shirts, blue light bulbs to light up the outside of your house and autism bracelets to sell during the campaign onsite and in local stores and events. All proceeds from our campaign is given right back to our community. Rachel’s Kids has given back to our local fire departments by using the proceeds from the campaign to supply Autism Spectrum Disorder Kits. These kits contain items to assist our firefighters in helping children with autism stay calm in times of emergency.
Autism merchandise can be purchased at Rachel’s Kids at 850 Boundary Road. We can also be reached by calling (613)933-3946.
