Rachel’s Kids House of Hope is proud to offer a service in creating PECS (Picture Exchange Communication Systems) for families, EA's, ECE's SSW's, PSW's DSW"s, daycares / pre-Schools and anyone looking to apply PECS as a daily form of augmentative and / or alternative form of communication. While the system is commonly used as a communication aid for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), it has been used with a wide variety of learners, from preschoolers to adults, who have various communicative, cognitive, and physical impairments, including cerebral palsy, blindness, and deafness.
We are proud to offer a service where we build and create PECS specifically to meet the client's needs in order to better help them and families develop a highly effective communication system in both French and English. 100% of the proceeds from your donations for PECS are re-invested in the center.
PECS are utilized daily by many families and professionals as a comprehensive tool to create and implement routine such as daily eating schedules, bath routines, washing hands, "Now-Then-Later", Sequential PECS, Anxiety Kits, Good Choices Reinforcement Sticker System, Potty Training, visiting the doctor or dentist... the list goes on. Our team can help build these for your special child or student based on their specific needs, interests and routines.
